Venetian blinds were added to give the scene its signature film noir touch. For the faux movie, the role of gangster Johnny was played by actor Ralph Foody, while Snakes was played by Michael Guido. It's the comedic timing and the nonchalant delivery that makes this line funny. After getting off the plane, Kevin's family slowly begins to realize he's not there after they tried to pass him his bag and noticed he is missing. There are a lot of funny quotes from Home Alone 2, and it can be easy to forget that there is quite a heartfelt center to the movie in the form of the Pigeon Lady, who befriends Kevin throughout the story.

Macaulay Culkin was paid $4.5 million to star in this movie, the biggest salary ever to an eleven-year-old child actor. Later, while Kevin paid for his cheese pizza, he fast-forwarded through Snakes' parts in order to use Johnny's speaking voice to communicate with the pizza man. Harry and Marv break in, spring the traps, and suffer various injuries. While Harry and Marv pursue Kevin around the house, he calls the police and lures the duo into a vacant neighboring house which they had previously broken into. Harry and Marv ambush Kevin and prepare to get their revenge, but Marley intervenes and knocks them unconscious with his snow shovel. The police arrive and arrest Harry and Marv, having identified all the houses that they broke into due to Marv's destructive habit of flooding them. Kevin wakes to find the house empty, and the family cars still in the garage, unaware that they had rented vans to take them to the airport.
